Monday, June 23 2008 – On the 4th, 5th and 6th of July, the first Video Games Open will offer, to all the visitors of the Paris Gaming Show, the possibility to unleash their skill and become a superstar on the main stage of Paris-Bercy. Open to everyone, be they enthusiasts or progamers, the tournaments will take place every day, in the various gaming areas settled in the heart of Paris-Bercy. More than 10,000€ worth of prizes will be given to the audience during these open tournaments. The best of the best will progress to the finals and play in front of an audience of thousands.

To have a go and feel that unique experience, nothing is simpler; a ticket for the Gaming Show is all you need. The registration to the various open tournaments will take place on site with no extra fee.  

On the edges of the Open Tournaments and the numerous public gaming areas, the Gaming Show will welcome more than 500 of the best video games players in the world. They will make the show and entertain the audience thanks to the thrilling games being played on stage. They will all compete to win a slot for the Electronic Sports World Cup finals which will take place in the United-States in August 2008.

The Electronic Sports World Cup tournaments:
* ESWC French finals with the best French teams and players (emulate, dimension4, G2G, AAA, Millenium…)
* ESWC Masters with the best international teams (SK Gaming, Fnatic, MYM, MIBR, NOA) and the best players (ToD, Carl, Xenogear, CZM, Grubby, Voo, Sky, Lyn, Lucifer).
